Requirements
-layout sizes/terrain, weapons types/quantity, framerate, and all other criterion optimized for a single player mission
-all judging will be done on Hotshot difficulty level, so bot placement/strength, timed puzzles etc. should be planned with this difficulty setting in mind i.e. it should be challenging, but fun, to play through your mission on Hotshot difficulty level.
-multi level sets are STRONGLY encouraged, however they are not a requirement
-for reasons of the time needed for the judges to play out your mission to the end, there is a maximum cap of 5 levels per multiplayer mission
-level must support 4 player coop games; must have at least 4 coop startpoints
-all weapons allowed
-bots required (need I say “doh!”)
-opening briefings are REQUIRED; between level custom screens are optional but encouraged
-the sequence of “find blue/yellow/red key, pick up hostages, exit” need not be followed; you may have no keys, keys in any order, And/or no hostages if you desire. However, your mission will be judged on the quality, cohesiveness, and originality of your theme

Dr. Moreau's Saga of Death
Drmsaga.zip

Dr. Moreau's Saga of Death is a compilation of levels that I developed that tell the story of a former PTMC employee who is bent on destroying PTMC, Earth and transforming all of humanity into alien half-breeds.

For the first time, I have been able to incorporate intro and exit briefings to help stage the story.   All my work is original and the only thing I have borrowed is the name of the mad scientist and instead of turning men into animals he is turning men into alien machines.

All the Moreau levels are characterized by a few common custom textures such as the coarsed stone walls and Moreau's emblem of a sword piercing the Earth.    I have tried to push custom textures to their limits and experimented with a broken glass texture in Area 51 and one way force fields and other "see-thru" textures.

Also, listen carefully to your mission objectives in Area 51; all the keys are on the secret level so be careful to obtain them BEFORE  you blow up the level and close the invasion portal.

Vampyro
Vampyro.zip

One of the first levels ever to attempt to create a unique setting and theme outside of the familiar Descent world.

Encounter At Farpiont
Encoun.zip

Welcome to Encounter At Farpiont, my first major single player mission, contains 5 levels, custom briefing screens, and custom robot behavior.  Once you start you can't stop!

Apollo 11
Apollo11.zip

This level has many custom textures. Some of them are animated.  This level also has custom robots (pyros). There is a unique exit. and there are detailed custom briefings.

Escape From PTMC
Escape.zip

This level is fun for single player.  There IS an exit even though the guide-bot says that there isn't.

->craven's house of pain !!!
Chop!.zip

When you unzip this... Put the .hog and .mn2 into your Missions dir. Put the !chop.bat and !chop.dtx and Dtx2ptch.zip into your Descent2 dir. Then RUN the .BAT file ! You must do this in order to hear my Custom Sounds. Then (and only then) you may play the level.

For those of you who are unfamilar with DTX patch files, your original Descent2.s11 and Descent2.s22 files will be backed up as *.s1~ and *.s2~ (respectively). You can restore your original sounds simply by re-naming these files.

This level is designed for co-op or experienced single players, but has 8 start spots included for multiplayer internet or LAN gaming. Hoard and CTF are also supported. Custom briefing, 'bots with varied weapons systems, custom textures (including a new pyro paint scheme) and a DTX2 sound patch are just a few of the things this level has to offer. The architecture is well thought out as is the robot placement. The amount and type of weapons will vary depending upon the number of players since the first stop is a unique weapons loading chute. The intelligence and speed of the robots is quite high (you may even notice afterburners on some). Playing this level as an anarchy game without the robots may be the only way for a novice player to fully explore this level and experience it's many custom textures. An effort was also made (somewhat succesfully) to duplicate the Pyro-GX spew in the robots. Players should be on the lookout for more than one type of item being dropped by dying robot. Special thanks goes to the everyone in the DDL, and anyone else who thinks they deserve credit, ie. the author of that 3finned playership/robot I DLed from Garry's site(Ithink). Caution: this level may not play well on slower systems.

PPG |)isc0 T00
Ppgdisc1.zip

PPG |)isc0 T00 is a modification of my original level, PPG |}isc0. This level is for 3-5 players, and has some custom textures and animations courtesy of the PPG. While there are no outright secrets, you had better look around carefully to find all the hidden areas, especially underwater. The energy centers are unusual, and the turbine room is something I've never seen done before. The water wheel is also unique. No lame weapons, and as always, a couple of fusion cannons for those skilled in the fine art of chunkypurplefusiondeath. ;) Enjoy.

Warp Shockwave- Awaiting zipfile
Shokwave.zip

Warp Shockwave is a 5 level single player mission complete with story line and briefing. You are taken through exceptionally designed levels and have to fight your way through virtually hordes of robots that have escaped from a experiment PTMC tried to conduct on them. Instead of being shut down by a computer virus however, after a long time of inactivity, the robots' AI has worked around the virus, making the robots more dangerous than ever. Now the 'bots are trying to capture PTMC's key installation right on Earth: The PTMC Warp Laboratories - and PTMC had been incautious, and greedy, enough to bring not only a few, but a host of even the strongest robots right to that place. You are the only one between the Warp Laboratories' main control system and the robots. If you do not manage to destroy the robots before they have hacked into the system, the hugest experimental warp generator the world has ever seen will be used by them to bring doom to whole mankind.

Warp Shockwave will take you through unconventionally and naturally designed levels pushing the Descent engine to its absolute limits. You will have to purge a factory, save the inhabitants of Seattle from a threat emerging from their sewer system, secure nuclear and chemical waste in an ice cave used as (an illegal) deposit by PTMC, clear out a PTMC auxiliary installation merged right into a sub terran cave system where rivers flow through wide tunnels and send roaring water masses into huge lakes, and finally you will have to secure the huge warp generator in PTMC Warp Laboraties, destroying any opposition of the rebellious robots found there ...

... will you be the hero to save mankind again?

Warp Shockwave has been created from my best multi player architectures - you will see that especially in the weapon layout. Therefore, this mission is great for multi player or coop playing as well. In the levels included in this mission, the emphasis is on architecture and plain good fighting, so you will find lots of bots. Since the levels are quite huge, and since they contained robots from the beginning, they offered themselves to be converted into a single player mission.

Because of the complicated structure of most of the rooms of Warp Shockwave's levels, I strongly recommend to play this mission with a 3D accelerator.
